Story

GERARD - ID#A044915

Hi, my name is GERARD.  I am a neutered male, black Domestic Shorthair.  The shelter staff think I am about 10 months old.  When you first meet me, I will most likely ignore you. Please understand that I am very shy around strangers, but once you have gained my trust, I will entertain you with hours of feline antics. Here's a video of me romping with my foster mom:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Di5Fz8anBqE&feature=youtu.be

Also, don’t be fooled by my size.  I am still very much a kitten at heart.  I love attention and hope not to be left alone too much, but even so, I am not a lap cat… yet.  My favorite thing in the world is to be scratched under my chin.  You can follow that up with scratching just about any part of me and also belly rubs.  My favorite toy is simply a towel on the floor.  I love to skid into it and under it and wrestle with it.  I also love to play with ping pong balls.  My foster mom calls me a gentle giant.  I play rough with my toys but have never bitten or scratched anyone.  Due to my shyness, however, I would not be good with young children.  Won’t you please take me home!
