Hi! My name is Twyla. I am a spayed female, red and white English Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old. I have been at the shelter since Aug 13, 2021.

I LOVE TO: Run around and play in the yard.

I HAVE: A sweet personality.

I GET ALONG WELL WITH: Adults and calm children 8 years and older.

I WOULD RATHER NOT: Be left alone for long periods of time.

I NEED: A home with a yard, no apartments please.

I AM: Friendly and sweet!

Starting the Adoption Process

Thank you for your interest in adopting an animal. To schedule an interaction or begin the application process, please follow these easy steps. 

How to Submit Your Application:  
1.   Download an adoption application and Save the document to your device, fill it out and attach it to an email; or
2.   Take a screenshot of the completed application and email us the pictures.

Please email your application to animalservices@scdpanimalshelter.org.

We can also accept applications via fax to 949-366-4765, or you can leave it in the Shelter drop-box located at our front door at 221 Avenida Fabricante, San Clemente, CA 92672.

We look forward to receiving your application and will be in contact with you via email.

The San Clemente/Dana Point Animal Shelter is currently open to the walk-in public.  In a continued effort to keep everyone safe, we will be limiting the number of individuals in the lobby area and continue to encourage interested adopters to make appointments. Thank you in advance for your patience.

What's Included in Fee

The adoption fee for dogs is $125, which covers the following: spay or neuter, microchip, current vaccines, flea treatment if required, "New Owner" folder packed with helpful information, and one free basic health examination within 5 days of adoption from a veterinarian on our list.
